What stays local
Your readiness answers are saved in your browser's localStorage under ClearTerms keys. They are not uploaded while you use the normal checklist flow.
The free readiness summary is generated in your browser. The export is not sent to ClearTerms unless you separately share it.
The score share action copies only score, attention item count, critical item count, audit-fit label, and the public ClearTerms URL. It does not copy your answers, email, product URL, or notes.
What leaves your browser
If you choose to buy the Starter Packet, ClearTerms opens a PayPal-hosted checkout. Payment details are handled by PayPal. ClearTerms does not store card, bank, tax, or PayPal account credentials in this app.
If you submit the premium review request form, ClearTerms sends your email, product URL, optional notes, readiness score, audit-fit label, attention item count, and critical item count to the ClearTerms lead endpoint.
The current lead endpoint records review requests in Vercel function logs for manual follow-up. Do not submit secrets, customer personal data, credentials, or confidential legal material through the form.
No tracking by default
ClearTerms does not include ClearTerms-set cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, cross-site tracking, or account-based profiling by default. If analytics or non-essential cookies are added later, this page, the product UI, and the project memory must be updated before launch.
Deletion and control
You can clear wizard answers by using the app's reset action or clearing browser storage for this site. For review requests, deletion depends on Vercel log retention and manual handling. Avoid submitting sensitive data in the first place.
Privacy settings panel
The app footer includes a Privacy settings panel. It shows whether this browser has local ClearTerms wizard answers or locally saved fallback review requests, and it can clear those local items without touching other sites or browser data.
Legal boundary
ClearTerms is an operational readiness tool. It is not legal advice, does not guarantee compliance, and does not replace qualified counsel.
